This week is World of Work Week in school. Classes are enjoying learning about a huge range of jobs from a number of visitors. Visitors include a journalist, a scientist, a travel agent, a fire fighter, a gym manager, a solicitor, an undertaker, a TV presenter, an ergonamist, a mortgage broker, people from the dog and cat home, an engineer, a signer and several others. In addition to visitors, some classes are going on visits to The Scottish Whisky Experience to learn about jobs in tourism, the Festival Theatre to learn about jobs in the arts or Pizza Express to learn about jobs in hospitality. P5 and P6 are having a French business breakfast, P6 are planning events for Comic Relief and P7 are visiting the Cyrenian Farm to learn about the work of the Charity. In class children are learning about the skills they need to develop in different types of employment.
