This term P3 are enjoying working together to learn about Scots language and Robert Burns. We learned about the different parts of a traditional Scottish outfit and weaved our own tartan kilts. We have learned new Scots words for body parts and enjoyed singing “heids, shudders, knaps and taes” and used some of our new Scots words in our writing. For Burns day we enjoyed trying some traditional Scottish foods and reciting some Scottish poems.

After the February holidays we will be learning more about our local area and looking forward to our whole school focus week on Craigentinny. We hope to be out and about exploring our community.
We enjoyed a Generation Science workshop called “Get Fizzy”. We tested which liquids and solids gave us a gassy fizzy reaction, it was lots of fun!
P3A will also be taking part in an exciting Cartoon Workshop where we will use drama to help us create our own comics.
