As part of our Mary, Queen of Scots topic, the children in Primary 5/6 class visited the Palace of Holyroodhouse. We explored the rooms in the Palace and investigated major events in the Queen’s life, including her marriage to Lord Darnley, meetings with John Knox and the murder of Mary’s servant David Rizzio. The children then showcased their knowledge during the class assembly in December.
This term, our class took part in the Generation Science workshop called Good Vibrations. The children explored sound, what it is, how it is produced and how to make different sounds through a range of engaging activities. This workshop enabled the children to revise their knowledge of sound and vibrations, a science topic they covered last year.
We have another workshop called Robo Constructors coming up soon. This interactive workshop will allow the pupils to design and build robots, and discover different uses for them.
